SDS/2 2015 can import models from DWG and DGN files. Reference Model tools give users the ability to link and update reference models from 3D DWG, DGN, DWF and IFC files.

We require that you go through the “SDS/2 Detailing Basics & Step-By-Step Instructions” manual, “Assorted Tools for Working in SDS/2” manual, and “SDS/2 Connection Guide” before attending the course.
Design Data will supply each attendee with design drawings, course outlines, and other training information, all of which will be yours to keep. You will not need to bring anything else. At the end of the week you will also receive a CD-ROM containing your job and fabricator setup, 3D model, and details you will have created over the course of the week. The CD will be a great resource for continued learning.

Those attending Continuing Education courses must have worked on the system at least eight months and have a good understanding of how SDS/2 functions. These courses will be taught in v7.3; therefore, an understanding of v7.3 operations is necessary.

The SDS/2 Users Group hosts an annual conference; the 2014 conference will be in Lincoln, Nebraska. This three-day event is primarily a learning opportunity. Activities include training on very specific topics determined by the Users Group, the unveiling of new enhancements, award presentations and other events. Both Design Data employees and SDS/2 customers present innovative SDS/2 techniques, encouraging users to employ the power of SDS/2 to its fullest. This conference also provides an opportunity for users to offer their input on new developments in SDS/2.
The 2014 SDS/2 Users Group Conference will be held at The Embassy Suites in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska, October 15-17.
